Half-Way Point!// Wrap Up!

The end of June marks 6 months of the year completed! At the beginning of the year I set my reading goal to 50 books. Recently, I increased it to 56 as I thought that was my likely finish number. Currently I have read 31 books! I am very excited because it feels good to have a goal and since I am on track it feels even better. (I know a lot of you read up to or over twice as much as me, but I still feel good!)

Here are my favorites of what I read the first half of this year:
Every Exquisite Thing by Matthew Quick— I raved about this book here on WordPress because it is phenomenal and exactly the kind of book I love. 5 star read for me, perfect. Review here

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas– Every review I have read on this book is synonymous with my own views. This book was pure genius and my favorite from Sarah Maas. This book is especially great in how even though the book was decently large, it managed to capture me so intensely I never lost interest. Review here

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer — This series got me. It got me good. I loved the concepts and the perfectly balanced romance. I loved how it got nerdy at some points. I loved everything. Most importantly, I loved the ending.

The Siren by Kiera Cass— I just read this book and am writing a rather incoherent review, but the book was lovely. Kiera Cass has the rare ability to lift my mood to new highs when I read her novels. I cannot wait to post my review no matter how unpolished it is!

Here is what I am most excited to (hopefully) read in the next 6 months:
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo— Crooked Kingdom is a book that I think I will read and love and not be upset with how Leigh Bardugo decides to continue her series. I have complete faith in her writing and am so ready to find out what happens next!

Blood for Blood by Ryan Graudin— Unlike Crooked Kingdom, Blood for Blood has the potential to include a lot of things that would turn me away from this series. I loved Wolf by Wolf, but I didn’t read it expecting it to be a series. Now here I am needing to read Blood for Blood and praying to author gods that it is good!

The Last Star by Rick Yancey– I have the book. I am waiting to read it until I finish up some other books and refresh my memory on what happened in The 5th wave and Infinite Sea. I am pumped.

Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi— I have been wanting to read this series for a while and oh boy am I excited. The covers speak a thousand languages to me, begging me to open them…. soon my lovely books…soon

So those are my favorite and most anticipated books! I have had a great first half of 2016 and I can’t wait to finish it out! The best decision I made this year was starting this blog. I hope all of you are enjoying this year as much as I am! Best Wishes.
